A prototype version of Element One’s hydrogen indicator tape was tested in an operational National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) hydrogen system and successfully identified the unexpected presence of a small leak. The NREL Sensor Laboratory deployed DetecTape and evaluated its performance at several NREL hydrogen facilities, including outdoor operations associated with the NREL Hydrogen Fueling Station and several indoor operations. The investigation also involved evaluation of the indicator under controlled laboratory conditions.
